Getting Quality Backlinks to Your Blog

Getting backlinks to your site is similar to getting a "vote" in the eyes of the search engines

A link from an article directory is not going to do you much good. Article directories are not as popular as they once were, so submitting dozens of spun articles to different sites are not going to do much good to build links to your website.

Why don't I tell you how to get quality backlinks for your blog then? We're going to do it with a bit of a twist. We're going to talk about where your blog posts should be, and how you can build links in a number of different ways that you probably haven't considered before.

The most important part of blogging is to start a post with a call to action. You want to start the blog post by telling people who your primary audience is. This is your "theme" for the blog, and you want to include it at the very top of every post you make.

The point of a blog post is to draw readers' attention, so you want to make it as easy as possible for people to get excited about what you have to say. Your primary audience should be the ones who visit your blog, or if you don't have a blog, they should be your ideal audience.

You'll also want to write a blog post that talks about two things. The first thing you want to do is to provide information about the topic that you're writing about. This way, when readers read your blog post, they can get the feel of your blog, and they can see that your blog posts are informative and they aren't simply being sold to them.

In other words, you need to make sure that your content is worthy of being shared, and proudly! That way you won't come across as a scammer who's just out for links, likes, or money.

A second thing you can do to build links for your blog post (or website) is to submit to as many niche forums as possible. Now many forums have what's called a "no-follow" link rule, meaning that your link, if posted on the forum, will not have any PageRank passed on to it. Not a problem. Just Google "your niche" + "forums" + "dofollow" and you should find at least a few forums where you can add your link to.

A third thing you can do is to add links to your blog post into  social networking sites that people visit. This can help them find your blog post. Cross posting and promoting your blog post url, along with appropriate hashtags and images (remember, even your promotions need to be shareable) can quickly drive loads of targeted traffic back to your website, not to mention the shares and link opportunities that will result.
